DVDs For Daily Workouts
We’re always looking for ways to fit fitness into our busy schedules. If you’re looking for low-impact routines which can be easily repeated or full-body workouts with limited time the right DVD could make all the difference.
Denise Austin’s DVD features the 12-minute workout that targets different areas of the body every day. Each segment is designed to be completed separately or in sequence for an entire body exercise. It’s a great option for those who are new to fitness and want to begin an exercise routine, or for people who are already active, but want to increase their strength and stamina.
The trainer who made her famous on NBC’s The Biggest Loser promises to “eliminate fat.” This three-DVD set, which includes two 10-minute workouts that will make you sweat. Do not worry if it’s not the right level for you. Each workout has easy alternatives for those that can’t do more challenging moves.
Jane Fonda, 74, may be a bit off-putting with her cheesy music or headband that resembles Richard Simmons. But her exercises are extremely efficient. She does the same moves that she uses in her most popular workouts–such as upper and lower body isometric exercises as well as exercises with hand weights. She is a good example of proper form throughout.
One of the most negative aspects of this DVD is that a study conducted by an University of Washington professor found that the models’ use highlighted the flaws in their bodies, with a majority of women’s bodies portrayed as perfect. This DVD includes a 30-day healthy eating plan, as well as worksheets to help you reflect on your own.
